Lockpicking skill in Aftermath! is a time based function. It determines the amount of time it will take a person to pick a lock or crack a safe.
The caclulator will automatically determine if the picker can pick a specific lock.
For safecracking, ignore the pick type setting.
Due to the times involved, combat lockpicking is virtually impossible. Remember the character would need to get out the picks, then work the lock.
Safecracking depends on the level of complexity involved. No matter what level, it is always harder and more time consuming to crack a safe. Note safecracking is a mostly non-destructive opening of safes. Demolitions is breaking into safes using destructive methods.
