The Horse

30 14 24 24 12 2 6 2 6 12 12 32 3
Gait BMA Eff Mass Modifier Movement
Walk 1 8 May start or stop on any phase
Trot 2 16 Must slow to walk
Canter 4 32 Must slow to trot
Gallop 6 48 Must slow to Canter

Treacherous ground: 2 in 10 trot, 4 in 10 Canter, 6 in 10 Gallop of slipping. SPD AST to avoid fall.

Unseating a Rider

DFT AST to Grapple the rider with a hit location 13-20.

Requires a Bash check.
1. Compare STR Group Effect die, add mass difference to larger character's effect die. STR Effect result + (Personal Mass for larger - Personal Mass for larger smaller) = Stopping Effect. Use the riders ENC not the horse.

2. Loser gets stopping effect equal to Effect Die difference.

Stopping Effects by effect die difference

Effect Number Effect
> 1 DFT CST - BMA to avoid being knocked off.
> 5
  • CST - BMA to avoid
  • DFT CST - BMA to avoid being knocked off.
> 10
  • automatic knock off

Bashing

Bashing against a person and a horse.

1. Compare STR Group Effect die, add mass difference to larger character's effect die.

Walk: 2d6 + (8 - CHARACTER + GEAR ENC(5-13)) = Stopping Effect
Trot: 2d6 + (16 - CHARACTER + GEAR ENC(5-13)) = Stopping Effect
Canter: 2d6 + (32 - CHARACTER + GEAR ENC(5-13)) = Stopping Effect
Gallop: 2d6 + (48 - CHARACTER + GEAR ENC(5-13)) = Stopping Effect

2. Loser gets stopping effect equal to Effect Die difference.

3. The total stopped effect is the chance the person will get 2d6 x 1.7 C type damage.

Stopping Effects by effect die difference

Effect Number Effect
> 1 Knock Back 2D3 meters (DFT AST to avoid knockback)
> 5 Knock Back 2D3 meters
  • AST to avoid
  • DFT CST to stay on feet
> 10 Knock Back 2D3 meters
  • automatic knock down
  • Both characters must take PCA phases before taking action.
  • Defending Character take minus (Effect Difference) to BCS for current action.

Attacks from a horse

Beast Riding is an averaging skill.
(Skill BCS + Beast Riding)/2 = Modified BCS [never larger than Skill BCS]
